Mrs. Bangornrat Shinaprayoon, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Phuket Office said, The Phuket Songkran Festival will help to promote Phuket under the “My Beloved Thailand campaign” and “Amazing Thailand – Amazing Value campaign”. This period have increase in the number of visitors from Thai and oversea to Phuket and occupancy rate more 80% for this period.

Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year Celebrations, takes place during April 13 – 15, 2010. Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Phuket Office presents 2 themes of Songkran festival in Phuket, “The Water Festival on The Beach” and “Songkran in The Old Town Phuket”.

The Phuket Songkran Festival is the one of the best places to experience Songkran in Thailand. This year the Phuket Songkran Festival scheduled for April 12 – 15, 2010.
