Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of two management agreements with TCC Hotel Group a subsidiary of TCC Land Group for a new build Hilton Hotels & Resorts hotel and a conversion project to be rebranded as a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. Both properties are due for completion in 2012. TCC Land Group is a leading real estate company in Thailand with diverse sectors including residential, office buildings, retail, and hospitality.
The two hotels will be located in Sukhumvit area, Bangkok‘s main lifestyle, entertainment and residential area. The hotels will be a short walk from the Phrom Phong sky train station and adjacent to the popular Emporium Shopping Complex.
Including these two new hotels in Bangkok, Hilton Worldwide portfolio in Thailand now features five hotels currently open to the world’s travellers and three additional hotels to open in the country during the next two years. Read the rest of this entry »

Amara Holdings Limited’s hospitality arm, Amara Hotels & Resorts continues its regional expansion with the upcoming development of a new 272-room hotel in central Bangkok, Thailand.
This marks the Group’s first entry into the “Land of Smiles”.
In conjunction with this hotel development, an agreement was signed today with Thailand Crown Property Bureau, a quasi-government agency, through the Group’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Amara Hospitality (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Amara Bangkok will be located in the choice Surawong Road, which is parallel to Silom and Sathorn Roads. Together, they form one of the most exciting areas in Bangkok, an area known for its rich and colourful local entertainment and shopping activities, as well as the financial district of Bangkok. The Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel has opened under a management agreement with Maneeya Realty Company, Limited. The hotel is the second Renaissance property in Thailand, with a third property set to open in Phuket later this summer. Stefan Gruber is General Manager and Julie Codus is Director of Sales and Marketing.

Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality company and a member of Dubai Holding, has been appointed by Country Group (Thailand) to manage a luxury hotel in the heart of Bangkok. The management agreement was signed by Mr. Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman of Jumeirah Group and Mr. Ben Taechaubol, Managing Director of Country Group, at a ceremony held recently in Bangkok.
The 305-room, five-star luxury Jumeirah Bangkok will have a prime location on the legendary Chao Phraya River, close to the Sathorn Bridge and Bangkok’s Central Business District. With its 200-metre water frontage, the urban resort will be easily accessible from the expressway or by boat through in-house docking stations. The hotel is designed to offer a peaceful environment for business and leisure travelers in the middle of bustling Bangkok.
The concept for Jumeirah Bangkok was developed by the architectural firm Hamiltons International from Singapore in conjunction with UK-based interior design firm United Designs. The luxury hotel will form the iconic centerpiece of a mixed-use development that integrates international and local Thai styles.
Set to open in 2014, Jumeirah Bangkok offers stunning river views, a spa, signature F&B outlets, retail units, an art gallery and a banquet & conference centre at the heart of which is a 1200 sq.m. ballroom looking out onto an array of immaculately designed gardens.
