Emirates, one of the world’s fastest-growing international airlines, celebrated the New Year in a ‘big’ way by becoming the first airline to operate a scheduled Airbus A380 service to Malaysia.
The airline’s flagship, operating as EK346, piloted by Malaysian national Captain Kwong Yung Ling arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Sunday afternoon to a traditional welcome of a water canon salute.

StayWell Hospitality Group, the owner and operator of the Park Regis and Leisure Inn brands today announced a new management agreement to operate a luxury 4 star hotel in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Scheduled to open mid-2010, the 392-room Park Regis Kris Kin, Dubai will be StayWell Hospitality Group’s 23rd property and its first to open in the Middle East.
The hotel is located in Dubai’s historic district, opposite Burjaman Shopping Centre, 5 kilometres from the centre of Dubai and 6 kilometres from Dubai International Airport. It is a website about Marriott associates for Marriott associates. Thai Airways International Public Company Limited is offering Royal First Class service for the first time to Dubai in the Middle East, starting from 1 December 2009 utilizing Airbus 340-600 aircraft.
Mr. Pruet Boobphakam, Executive Vice President, Commercial Department, said that Thai Airways International has always enjoyed loyal support from Arab and expatriate communities, where premium class travel in the Middle East has always been highly popular. The Middle East routes have had double-digit growth in the last few years. The Company views the Middle East as one of the most important markets in Thai Airways network, despite strong competition from Middle East based carriers. With the new Airbus 340-600, Thai Airways is able to offer more seating in Royal Silk Class at a capacity of 60 seats and introduce eight Royal First Class seats.
Royal First Class passengers are offered dedicated First Class check-in counter service at Suvarnabhumi and Dubai Airports, Royal First Class Lounge access at Suvarnabhumi Airport and Royal Orchid Spa Lounge, providing two private therapy suites and sauna, exercise and yoga spaces. Millennium and Copthorne Holdings Limited Middle East signed today a management contract with Al Attar Group, to manage the newest 5 stars hotel in Dubai, the Millennium Plaza Hotel Dubai, located on Sheikh Zayed road in a prime location opposite to the Dubai Exhibition center.
The signing ceremony took place today in Dubai between Mr. Ali Hamd Lakhraim, President and CEO of Millennium & Copthorne Holdings Limited Middle East, and Mr. Khalid Al Attar, Chairman of Khalid Al Attar Group in Dubai and the owner of the Hotel.
The Hotel will feature 204 spacious rooms and one presidential suite, a tea lounge and an all day dining restaurant.
